Open Air Lounge at the Leela Palace Hotel 23 points out of 35

Will we be going back ? Absolutely ***** 23points out of 35.

Access: While you can bring your car to the entrance of the Leela, you do have to pass thru the metal detector and then walk past the very nice lobby to the outdoor bar situated right in front of the Jamavar restaurant. This is a favorite place of mine with its high ceilings, large candles and sof t breeze. Mom declined the offer of sitting down to rest in the lobby. **

Food: Very limited choices of food but what we had was very nicely presented - Podi idly and tomato and mozarella cheese. Both were really good. The non-alcoholic cocktails were quite bad.  ***

Outstanding service : When we could get the attention of a wait person, they were pretty courteous and helpful. However, its a long walk from this space to the Limelight restaurant and most of the time the wait person was away. So it got mildly annoying. . ***

Decor and ambience : Simply awesome. The parents totally loved it. *****

Vegetarian Choices : Small selection of veg food. ***

Air- Conditioning : Open air. ***

Driving Distance from Koramangala : 10-20 mins. ****

  1. Bhujji think the place deserves better rating then why you have given it only 23(only for ambiance).... dada n dadi might like the air at four seasons but dont know whether dadi would be able to make up stairs.. but dhruti is saying you must ask for wheel chair on your next visit to leela.

  2. gave it a full 5 of 5 for ambience. but i got to tell you - it can get pretty warm there on a summer afternoon. and ambience is all its got. the food, the service, the temperature all work against it. i think dada would like it a lot. Dadi might be able to struggle up the stairs on a good day and have to pop her SOS. better to avoid.
